KATRA, Jan 17: The Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, Prof R K Sinha today released the book titled ‘The Byzantine Jewels: Heart of Bellaridon’ authored by the young resident of SMVD University Campus Ishani Lal.
Ms Ishani Lal is the student of class X and is pursuing her studies from DPS, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Campus Katra, J&K. She is single daughter of Dr Saurabh, a faculty member of SMVDU and Dr Rajsri, who is an independent researcher.
While explaining about the book, Ishani Lal expressed her gratitude towards the tranquil and academic environment of SMVDU that has been helpful in developing her cognitive and literary skills and motivated her to start writing at an early stage.
The book is a fiction novel which has the slice of life and thrill based experience of five friends in a magic learning academy. It navigates through the distinct personalities and powers of the young friends who have to learn to work with each other and be a collective in solving a challenge.
Prof Sinha, in his speech, praised the young author for being able to publish a book at a tender age. He said that the parents and teachers must identify the talent of the kids and allow them to pursue their talents. He expressed that the learning environment of SMVDU campus and its residents has been a motivation for the young generation to cultivate their aspirations.
The event was attended by Uma Kumari, first lady of the University and distinguished guests from in and outside SMVDU. The event was conducted by Nandita Khajuria who informed that the book has been published by Bluerose Publication and is available online at bluerose.com, flipkart.com, as well as at amazon.com. The author Ishani Lal also signed the copies of the book owned by the enthusiastic readers of all the age class.
