JAMMU, Jan 20: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena led by their president, Ashok Gupta here today took out a protest rally against Amazon Prime’s web series ‘Tandav’ and demanded action against its makers including registration of a case under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).
The protesters also burnt the poster of ‘Tandav’ director Ali Abbas and others including Amazon Prime content head Aparna Purohit.
They demanded that NSA be invoked against the series director.
“This is quite disconcerting that a global platform like Amazon Prime would allow its ideologically motivated employees to run such vicious programming, which is not just uni-dimensional but also bruises sensibilities of millions of Indians,” Ashok Gupta said while addressing protesters.
He also said that ‘Tandav’ should be taken off the OTT platform.
Abhishek Gupta, one of the protesters said, Hindu religion is not meant for making fun and if Bollywood really gets entertainment in that, they should try that with other religions.
Abhishek, Bantu, Ashish, Naresh, Kalu, Nanku, Chema, Vinay and others were present in the protest.
