JAMMU, Jan 21: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of Gandhi Nagar area, BJP senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 55 & 57 and adjoining areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency. Billawaria toured along with officials of Jal Shakti Department, PWD and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). During the tour people of the areas raised the issue of construction of deep drains along with the construction of lanes. People also raised issues that many lanes and drains are still untouched for the development in the area and people are facing problems due to lack of drains. In such a situation, the demand of the people is that these streets should be constructed as soon as possible.
Billawaria assured redressal of problems at the earliest. He urged concerned officials to solve the problems at an earliest. While interacting, Billawaria assured inhabitants that the other works undertaken shall be completed in a time bound manner to benefit the locals at the earliest. Billawaria stressed for ensuring transparency in the working of the departments. He asked the officials to adopt cost-efficient methods for quality work. He said BJP is committed for equal development of all sections of society. He also said delivering good governance with a pragmatic approach at the door step of the people is the priority of the BJP. He said that the Union Government is taking all steps for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir .
