SRINAGAR, Jan 21: HKM Government Degree College Bandipora today conducted a scholarship distribution programme.
The function was organised by the Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee of the college under the patronage of Principal of the College, Prof Mohd Amin Malik.
A handout stated that purpose of the programme was to make the students aware about various scholarship schemes at national and international level.
Speakers on this occasion talked about the scholarship granted by Ministry of Minority Affairs like pre-matric, post matric, merit cum means scholarships etc.
They also threw light on other schemes like PMSSS run by AICTE for students of J&K which helps students outside J&K in various prestigious institutions at national level.
On this occasion the college administration distributed Rs. 6,53,000 among 245 students of the college as financial aid for the session 2020-21.
Khursheed Anwar Nakashbandi, grand preacher of central Jammia Mosque Bandipora was the chief guest on the occasion and he lauded the distribution of scholarship money among the needy students.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Shabeer Ahmad Parey, Convener of the Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee.
