3000 more healthcare workers vaccinated across J&K

Srinagar, Jan 22: As the COVID-19 vaccination drive continues, more than 3000 healthcare workers including some prominent doctors were today given vaccine shots across the Union Territory of J&K.
Officials said that 3 thousand 3 hundred healthcare workers were given the vaccine shots, which has now taken the number of healthcare workers that have been vaccinated beyond 10 thousand mark.
Prominent among those who were given vaccine shot today include, Head of the Department Social & Preventive Medicine, Dr Salim Khan, State Immunization Officer Dr Qazi Haroon and Dr Naveed Nazir leading pulmonologist.
Dr Naveed has been on the forefront to deal with the COVID-19 crisis at the CD Hospital Srinagar. He had also tested positive for COVID-19 at the time when the COVID-19 situation was at its peak in the Valley.
Earlier, on Thursday, at least 2400 healthcare workers were given vaccine shots which included prominent doctors from Jammu.
