JAMMU, Jan 23: Thieves decamped with vehicles and mobile phones from different areas here today.
As per police sources, complaints were lodged by Rahul Gupta, son of Subash Chander Gupta of Bhawani Nagar Talab Tillo and Pardeep Singh Chib, son of Kulbhushan Singh Chib of Chib Mohallah Durga Nagar with Police Station Nowabad regarding theft of their scooty and motorcycle from below Gumat and main bazaar Jewel areas respectively.
Acting over the complaints, cases under FIR Numbers 15/2021 and 16/2021 under Section 379 IPC have been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged by Ramesh Chander, son of Om Parkash of tehsil Marh with Police Station stating that some unidentified persons entered into his shop and decamped with around 42 mobile phones.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 23/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
However, no arrests were made in the aforesaid cases till last reports were compiled.
