REASI, Jan 24: The people from remote Sungri block of Mahore Sub Division have demanded opening of J&K Bank Branch at the block headquarters without any more delay.
Sarpanchs of the area, Punjab Singh, Mohd Aslam and Javed Ahmed, besides Ex-Chairman Channa Sungri Pritam Singh said that opening of Bank Branch is the old demand of the people of this vast area. They said last year some J&K Bank officials had visited the area and also selected the place/ site at this town but since then no progress has been achieved in this direction.
These Sarpanchs from remote area of Mahore further said that Sungri is the centrally located place in the area with highest population. Moreover, it caters to the needs of several adjoining Panchayats like Balmatkote, Manjikote, Bagodas, Chassote and several other areas. They strongly demanded opening of J&K Bank branch at Sungri and invited attention of Chairman J&K Bank, RK Chhibber and Deputy Commissioner, Reasi.
