JAMMU, Jan 24: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged a new Hindi play ‘Coffee House Wali Ladki’ written by Dr. Satya Parkash Sangar and directed by Neeraj Kant.
Performed on National Girl Child Day, today’s play carried a message for the society and encourages girls to teach a lesson to those who try to deceive them.
In play, a lad is shown as a flirtatious person who makes friendship with girls, spends money on them and makes false promises. As he belonged to a very rich and influential family he did not face any problem till time a girl, knowing his real intentions, decides to teach him a lesson.
She meets him at a ‘Coffee House’ and sets a trap to make him confess his habitual mistakes. Very cleverly she invites him to meet her in her hostel, where the principal, warden and security were already informed about his visit.
When he arrives and flamboyantly declares the reason for his visit, he was exposed before everyone and was threatened to be publically humiliated, moreover his family and the principal of his college were also informed about this. Caught and scared, he expressed repentance for his lies and deceits and pledges to be truthful and respectful towards girls in future.
Artists who acted in the play were Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Kananpreet Kaur, Aarti Devi, Sagar Gupta, Asma Gul, Diksha Pandita and Lovely Sharma.
Lights of the play were designed and executed by Neeraj Kant whereas the music was rendered by Sushant Singh Charak. The show was coordinated by Mohd. Yaseen.
