13 hurt in Nowshera bus accident

RAJOURI, Jan 25: At least 13 persons were injured when a mini-bus (Canter) met with an accident near Siot in Nowshera sector of district Rajouri this afternoon.
Official sources said that at around 2.50 pm, a Canter No. JK11/6311 being driven by unknown driver, on way to Nowshera from Siot, turned turtled on road at Lamberi. 13 passengers were injured in mishap. The driver however, escaped from the spot.
The injured were shifted to Nowshera and Sunderbani hospitals by police and locals of the area. They were identified as Minu Devi (40), wife of Madan Lal from Lamberi; Parbhato Devi (70), wife of Krishan Lal from Garan; Durga Devi (50), wife of Jagdish Raj from Lamberi; Ashita Sharma (27), wife of Gulshan Kumar of Lamberi; Sonia Devi (28), wife of Sanju Kumar of Nowshera; Kamini Sharma (6), daughter of Sanju Kumar of Nowshera; Sahil Bakshi (25), son of Rajesh Kumar from Dandesar; Tamana Sharma (12), daughter of Sham Lal from Rajal; Mili Dutta (19), daughter of Kewel Krishan from Metka in Kalakote; Lok Nath (75), son of Gulab Chand from Lamberi; Sajad Ali (16), son of Sayed Mohd from Jabba in Nowshera; Makhtoma Bi (45), wife of Sayed Mohd from Rajal and Taniza Begum (50), wife of Mohd Younis from Bazi Morh, Solki in Dharamsal.
Police said nine patients were shifted to SDH Nowshera while four others to SDH Sunderbani. Three were later referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
