BJP not anti-Muslim, gaining popularity in Valley: Koul

Srinagar, Jan 27: The BJP’s Kashmir unit today stated that they would serve people without having any self-interests for power and urged youth to come forward to fulfil a dream of ‘Naya Kashmir’.
Addressing the day-long youth interaction program with young Karyakartas at Srinagar, BJP’s General Secretary (Org), Ashok Koul said that from the past five years, the party has been gaining positive response from all the corners of the valley and party is in a strong position this time.
“BJP workers serve people irrespective of any interests. Our maximum focus should be on educated youth of the valley who will work for peace and prosperity in the valley,” he said.
The interaction program was aimed for young Karyakartas to work during the changing dynamics of politics in the Kashmir valley and their role.
Koul said educated youth were neglected and now they want to change and work for their respective areas. They are coming forward and the party is also trying to reach them,” he said.
“Some parties had created propaganda that BJP is an anti-Muslim party but we can see on ground development speaks. Majority of political parties in Jammu and Kashmir exploited people for the sake of power but BJP is the only party where everyone is treated equally,” he said.
Koul said there is a visible change on the ground as Republic Day was celebrated with zeal and locals also participated in the event which is a positive sign.
Party Media-Incharge and young leader, Manzoor Bhat also addressed the young Karyakartas and described the role of young minds in the organization.
On the occasion, BJP General Secretary Yuva Morcha J&K UT, Bilal Parry also addressed the gathering and urged them to work for peace and progress in the region.
