JAMMU, Jan 27: Intervention of the Lt Governor’s Office helped a needy female patient to immediately get Sehat Card under Government health insurance scheme thus facilitating her to undergo heart valve surgery at PGI Chandigarh.
Appeal of the female patient was tagged to the LG Office on January 24 and the Sehat Card was delivered to her within two days.
The patient had appealed the LG Office to help her in getting the Sehat Card urgently issued as she needs a heart valve surgery at PGI Chandigarh. “Heart surgery is costly. I don’t afford. Please issue me Ayushman card on humanitarian grounds. It is emergency,” she tweeted tagging it to the office of J&K Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha.
Pertinent to mention here that despite registration of the beneficiaries under the health insurance scheme of the Government, cards (Sehat Cards) have not yet been issued to maximum people.
