RAJOURI, May 17: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, F C Bhagat a team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Matloob Khan alongwith AD Food Supply and officers of concerned departments today conducted extensive market checks in Rajouri.
The team destroyed about three quintal adulterated milk and other milk products and compounded a fine of Rs.22,800 from the defaulters. They also seized and destroyed huge quantity of vegetables and fruits which were found to be unsuitable for consumption.
The team also booked various commercial vehicles for overloading and imposed a fine of Rs.12,000 on the defaulters.
The traders have been warned of strict action under law and asked to desist from unethical trade practices which harm consumer interests.
