SRINAGAR, May 17: Maintaining that Government is keen to make  Jammu and Kashmir a model State, the Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul said that the administration has  been directed to gear up filed functionaries and ensure timely completion of all ongoing developmental works executed under various sectors.
The Speaker was interacting with deputations of far-flung area of the Valley including Kupwara district and various Panchs and Sarpanchs of different areas of the Valley who called on him.
The deputationists projected their individual and collective problems of their respective areas which include encroachments, power tariff hike, water supply schemes, repairs and renovation of inner road links, construction of sports fields and replacement of damaged transformers.
The Speaker heard them patiently and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. In some cases, Mr. Gul issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned for early redressal.
