UDHAMPUR, May 17: Police have recovered the minor girl, who was kidnapped by a criminal last week at Chhachhar Gali in Jangalgali area under Police Post Tikri.
Police have also arrested the alleged kidnapper, identified as Chander Posh son of Kirshan Lal of Lanji Jungle Gali, Udhampur while the rescued girl has been restored to the family.
The 3-year old girl was kidnapped on May 9 by the criminal when she was playing with another minor child in an abandoned Dhok. On getting information about the incident, Police swung into action and conducted various raids at suspected locations of the criminal resulting into the success.
The police raids were conducted by Incharge PP Tikri Nishant Gupta and Dy SP Probationer Raqeev Malik under the supervision of Incharge SSP Benam Tosh.
