Teachers of Purmandal zone hold conference

JAMMU, May 17: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation held Educaton Conference of Purmandal Zone at Katwalta under the chairmanship of Bushan S Verma and Maheshwar Parsad, president and convenor of Federation respectively.
The conference was held under the presidium of Kuldeep Sharma, Bansi Lal Mandala, Ghulam Qadir, Som Nath Sharma, Nabab Din and Randhir Singh. The speakers stressed on the Government to improve infrastructure in schools so that general public could be attracted and children of well meaning persons get admission in Government schools.
They also requested the Government to fill up all vacant posts of masters and teachers in middle and high schools in rural areas so that education could be imparted to children in a proper way.
Master Noor Hussain MLC, advisor of the Federation, who was the guest of honour on the occasion, said the teachers are builders of the nation and they should work hard to make the career of poor and innocent students who possess the talent but no means to seek education in private schools.
Other demands raised in the conference included mid-day meal job to be given to some other agency leaving the teachers to teach. Besides they also raised the demands of ReT teachers and removal of pay anomaly of Master grade teachers.
Others who spoke included Sham Lal Sharma, Ram Dass Dogra, Nabab Din, Krishan Kumar, Som Nath Sharma, Gulzar Hussain, Ram Pal Saini, Mohd Hussain, Bansi Lal, Ghulam Qadir etc.
