KATHUA, Jan 29: Kathua police in its recent action against drug peddlers, recovered 1250 grams of charas like substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Billawar and three accused were arrested along with seized contraband on spot.
A team of Police Station, Billawar during naka checking at Ujh bridge stopped a vehicle bearing Registration No.JK08H-9529 for checking. On checking, 1.25 kilograms of charas like substance was recovered from the possession of three accused namely, Aftab Ahmed, S/o Makim Ahmed R/o Dadwara, Parvez Musharaf S/o Liaqat Ali R/o Beril and Mohammad Akram S/o Salam Din, R/o Dadwara. All the three accused were arrested and vehicle involved was also seized by the police party on the spot.
On this cognizance, a case FIR No. 16/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act, 29 Evidence Act stands registered at concerned Police Station and further investigation is under process.
