JAMMU, Jan 29: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina its president called on Advisor to Governor and apprised him of the problems being faced by the people in Durga Nagar. The delegation also highlighted the problems of Displaced Pandits before the Advisor.
The delegation also met the Chief Engineer, R&B and demanded execution of works of roads and lanes in the area. The Chief Engineer assured the delegation that the works will be taken up in hand immediately. The Committee complimented the Chief Engineer, PDD and Executive Engineer, Division-III for providing 630 KV Transformer in the area.
It also met the Managing Director, Power Corporation for issuance of 200 KV transformers. The Committee complimented the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner for taking prompt and quick steps in issuance of migrant and domicile certificates. It in an appeal to CE M&RE demanded installation of cable in Kailash Pati lane and Durga Nagar Sector III.
