JAMMU, Jan 30: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Sat Sharma (CA) inaugurated new Ward office at Ward Number 9.
Former Member of Legislative Council, Ramesh Arora, Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Purnima Sharma, Corporator Ward Number 9 Suneet Raina, district president, BJP Jammu West, Munish Khajuria, district general secretaries, BJP Jammu West, Rajesh Gupta and Karan Sharma and president BJP Janipur Mandal, Raveesh Mengi were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma expressed happiness that after a long wait, people of Jammu and Kashmir are finally reaping the benefits of local governance, with grassroots democracy stronger than ever.
“People are always at the heart of the local governance. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the BJP Government at the Centre has ensured that power is put back to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It makes me immensely happy that people of my city are finally reaping the benefits of local governance,” said the former president of BJP.
“The BJP Government is doing everything possible to make people’s lives comfortable and more convenient. The difference is for the people to see, as they witness unprecedented development, which was only a far off dream during the tenure of previous successive governments that ruled Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Corporator, Suneet Raina said that with the opening of new Ward office, it will be easy for the residents to approach him for their problems and issues.
“The BJP is committed to resolving people’s problems at all levels. The new Ward office has enhanced that access. Now, people can contact us for any problem and every effort will be made to solve the problem in a transparent manner,” Raina added.
Besides, the residents of Ward Number 9, prominent among those present were Munish Sharma, Raghunandan, Deepak, Neeraj Katoch, Radha Sharma, Asha Gupta, Kamni Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
