KPS honours meritorious students of Class 12th

JAMMU, Jan 30: A function was organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, (KPS) Ambphalla, here, today to honour the meritorious students of Class 12th of 2019-20 batch of the Kashmiri Pandit community. The function was presided by KPS, president, K. K. Khosa and Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta was the chief guest.
The function started with welcome address by KPS, general secretary, S L Bagati.
Detailing out the contribution of the Sabha in preservation of culture and identity of the community K K Khosa exhorted the students to inculcate a spirit of philanthropy to help such sections of the society who are not in a position to acquire higher studies due to adverse family circumstances and paucity of funds.
Khosa urged the students to choose their future stream of education carefully and take up finance, administration, environment, law, humanities etc as the new areas where a bright future can be shaped.
He said with the announcement of huge package for J & K there will be lots of job opportunities within the UT both at Jammu and Kashmir which will provide opportunity for community children to stay back within the UT especially in our ancestral land Kashmir.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC along with councilor of Ward No 8, Dr. Akshay Sharma and Surinder Choudhary Councilor of Ward No: 29, congratulated the students for their achievement and also praised the Sabha for encouraging the students by honouring them to boost their morale. On this occasion, Mayor honored the students who secured above 94% marks. In his address he advised the students to keep focus on their home land and make use of the newly opened educational institutions like IIT, IIM in J & K.
Meritorious students namely Komal Raina, Harsha Kichloo, Amodhini Karwani, Vaibhav Bakshi, Vanshika Raina, Shanky Bhat, Shreya Koul, Nitesh Pandita, Kasak Bhat, Harsh Sharda, Tushar Raina, Arushi Bhat, Rahil Koul, Ritvik Raina, Vanshika Goja, Harsh Bradoo, Nitika Bhat, Harshika Bhat, Shivam Razdan, Prateek Bhat, Sushil Suri, Pratibha Pandita, Vanshika Bhat, Akhil Koul, Krishika Dhar, Palak Raina, Bahul Raina, Riya Pandita, Satyam Thusoo, Aryaman Pandita were given cash prize, trophies and certificates.
