JAMMU, Jan 31: BJP district president Jammu, Vinay Kumar Gupta today toured Ward 23, Nai Basti and its adjoining areas.
Narinder Singh, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chairman for Health and Sanitation Committee; JMC Councillor, Pawan Singh; Narinder Koki, BJP district secretary; Rohiin Chandan, social media secretary; Naveen Gupta, president Shopkeepers Association Nai Basti and others also accompanied the BJP district president.
Locals and shopkeepers of the area highlighted their problems regarding lack of sanitation, installation and repair of street lights, de-silting of deep drains etc.
Responding to this Narinder Singh directed the concerned JMC officials to look into matter on priority.
Vinay Gupta took serious note of the grave situation arisen after the flooding of roads and lanes in the area.
He said that the area has been left far behind in the developmental process by the previous Congress led Governments.
“But now, as the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is leading the nation, all the public representatives and the public concerned departments are duty bound to address the aspirations of public on priority basis,” he claimed.
Gupta assured the residents that all their genuine issues will be resolved on war footing.
He appealed the public to cooperate with field staff of JMC in making Jammu neat and clean.
He asked the people to refrain from using polythene bags and single use plastic in their day-to-day lives.
