Traffic Police launches special drive against modified silencers

JAMMU, Feb 1: A special drive was launched by Traffic City Jammu in South City under the directions of ADGP Traffic J&K T Namgyal and SSP Traffic Shiv Kumar Sharma.
The drive was led by ASP Pardeep Singh, DySP Traffic South Sunil Singh along with DTI Bikram Chowk Inspector Khushwant Singh and DTI Satwari Inspector Vikas Parihar.
In total about 100 challans were done and 20 bullets with modified silencers were seized.
Public was also requested to avoid modification of silencers of motorcycles especially bullets as they are causing nuisance in the society and are also causing many health hazards especially to Senior Citizens, pregnant women and children.
People’s were also aware about the Traffic Rules and advantages of wearing helmet and seat belt.
