JAMMU, Feb 3: In annual general body meeting Balgran-a charitable home for destitute children today elected A.K Khajuria as Balgran president.
Other office bearers elected were Vishwinder Dev and J.K Gupta-both elected as vice presidents; V.K Raina, secretary; P.K Nanda, joint secretary; Dr Shashi Kant Goswami, treasurer while Prem Gupta, Subash Chander Sharma, Mohit Vij and Ashok Kumar Kapoor were elected as members of the governing body of Balgran.
Elections of trustees of Balgran Charitable Trust for 2021-2024 was also held wherein A.K Arora was elected as member secretary; Mohit Vij, treasurer; Vagish Chander Sharma, Dr Anita Baru and A.K Khajuria, president Balgran is ex-officio chairman of the Trust.
I.D Soni, ex-Deputy Director Education and ex-Chief Commissioner Scouts and Guides was the returning officer in the election.
Earlier, A.K Arora, Patron Balgran welcomed the members and briefed them about the various activities and achievements of the organization.
V.K Raina, secretary Balgran presented annual report of the organization and highlighted various programmes undertaken buy it during the year 2019-20 while J.K Gupta, treasurer presented audited accounts of Balgran for ending March 2020 which was approved by the members present in the meeting.
V.K Raina, secretary conducted the proceedings and delivered vote of thanks.
