Cong responsible for discrimination with Jammu: BJP

JAMMU, May 19: District Working Committee, Akhnoor of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting at Bantalab.
Addressing the gathering, Vibodh Gupta, Prabhari, Akhnoor, expressed anguish over the repeated ignorance of Jammu region by the Government and held Congress Ministers from Jammu responsible for discrimination with Jammu region.
He said whenever BJP MLAs raised the issue of discrimination with Jammu in the Assembly, Congress Ministers and MLAs opposed all the moves and affords of BJP and always supported anti-Jammu National Conference and PDP.
Bali Bhagat, State general secretary said that the recently held Cabinet meeting at Srinagar chaired by the Chief Minister also established that the adoption of 73rd Constitutional Amendment or empowerment of Panchs and Sarpanchs is a non-issue both for the National Conference and the Congress Ministers.
“It has now been established that Congress Ministers and MLAs do not want to incorporate 73rd and 74th Amendment of Indian Constitution in J&K”, he alleged.
At the end, Sukhdev Singh, district president, Akhnoor presented vote of thanks.
