UDHAMPUR, May 19: A housewife was electrocuted and two cattle also perished when a live wire from an electric pole fell on them at village Sudhra in Majalta, here today.
The deceased woman was identified as Darshana Devi (45) wife of Babu Ram, who reportedly died on the spot due to severe electric shock. One ox and a calf also came in contact with the live wire and got perished.
Meanwhile a youth, identified as Sanjay Kumar son of Hans Raj of Bhalla Bhaderwah, received multiple injures when his car was hit by an Army vehicle near Balli nullah on the National Highway. The injured has been admitted in the District Hospital Udhampur.
