2 die, 5 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 19: Two persons died and five others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesperson said that a Safari vehicle JK03D/ 0555 turned turtle near Iqbal Abad KP road, Anantnag, resulting in on spot death of the driver Danish Ahmad Baba son of Javid Ahmad Baba, of Gulshan Abad. The Body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Sher bagh Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata Sumo JK05B/5477 hit Faizan Ahmad Malla, 5, son of Reyaz Ahmad Malla of Markundal, Sumbal, Bandipora. The injured boy succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to the hospital. The body of deceased was handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
A motorcycle bearing chassis number L-76586 hit and injured a pedestrian Tariq Ahmad Hakeem son of Mohammed Maqbool, of Mandir Bagh, near Bagat Chowk, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Sadder Police has registered a case in this regard.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured unidentified person at National Highway Near SDA, Bemina, Srinagar. The Injured was shifted to JVC Hospital, Srinagar where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura in critical condition. Bemina Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Maruti 800 JK05/4716 hit and injured Ghulam Mohammad Gojri, 80, son of Lassa of Shot Muqam, Bramarri near main Chowk, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Kupwara Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tipper JK01M/4690 and a Santro JK04A/9488 collided at Gopalpora, Chadoora Budgam, resulting in injuries to the Santro driver Mohammad Rafiq Shah son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Char-e-Sharief, Budgam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment. Chadoora Police has registered a case in this regard.
An unidentified vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Kowser Ahmed Ganai, son of Mohammad Sideeq Ganai, of Kanganhall at Kanganhall, Achabal, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar for treatment. Achabal Police has registered a case in this regard.
