JAMMU, Feb 5: Akhnoor Police worked out a burglary case with the arrest of accused along with stolen gold ornaments and Rs 3 lakh cash.
As per police sources, on January 24 this year, a complaint was lodged by a lady namely Kajal, a resident of Ward Number 1 Kashmiri Mohallah with Police Station Akhnoor regarding theft in house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 23/2021 under Section 381 IPC was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and hunt was launched to nab the burglar(s).
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar on the basis of human intelligence and technical support arrested the thief, who was identified as Amit Singh, son of Bahadur Singh of Ward Number 3 Jourian.
On the disclosure of accused, Rs 3 lakh cash and gold ornaments comprising two gents rings, two female rings and one gold chain weighing 60 grams were recovered and seized.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
