KEEWA delegation calls on MD PDC

JAMMU, Feb 6: Kashmir Electric Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) has expressed grave concern over denial of pension benefits to the employees of Power Development Corporation (PDC) onwards 1995 to 2010 and alleged that no policy has been framed by the authorities of the Corporation in this regard with the result the employees who have retired during this period are in great distress.
In a statement issued here, today the president of the Association Nazir Ahmed Magrey and its senior leader Mohammed Shaban who called on Managing Director Power Development Corporation (PDC) here and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard said that the employees of the Corporation who attained superannuation since 1995 to 2010 and onwards were not paid the pension benefits as no policy has been framed in this regard. They said these employees are facing financial hardships.
The memorandum also demanded formation of rules and norms for PDC, restoration of PDC land and buildings, removing of anomaly in regularization of daily wagers, adjustment of class IV employees of PDC, filling up of Executive and Technical posts in various Divisions of PDC and filling up of posts of Chief Engineers and Executive engineers in various offices.
