Week-long course for Session Judges at Police Academy

UDHAMPUR, May 21: A week-long course for the directly appointed District & Session Judges began at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
The course was formally inaugurated by S M Sahai, ADGP Armed J&K.
This is the first such venture where the J&K State Judicial Academy has involved Police Academy Udhampur in its programme for training directly appointed District & Sessions Judges.
The main objective of the week long course is to enhance the knowledge of participating Judicial Officers regarding different stages of investigations and other matters relevant in the administration of Criminal   Justice System, to apprise them about the role of various Police agencies for the protection of life and property of common citizens, besides functioning of Sher-i- Kashmir Police Academy.
S M Sahai, in his inaugural address, deliberated in detail upon various issues related to the administration of Criminal Justice System and also about protection of rights of the victim as well as of the accused. The highlight of the session was healthy exchange of thoughts between the participating judicial officers and the speaker.
Earlier Parminder Singh, Joint Director SKPA Udhampur, welcomed the participating Judicial Officers and the visiting faculty.
This week long course has been designed by Farooq Khan, Director Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
