Backward Classes Union team holds meetings

JAMMU, May 21: A team of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) led by Abdul Majid Malik, its president, held a two days tour of Agore Ghrote and Chak Desa Singh areas of Kathua district.
The union also held public meetings under the leadership of Mani Ram and Sarpanch Dalip Kumar respectively in these villages.
The speakers criticized Congress and NC for playing a fraudulent and treacherous role by not implementing the 27 percent reservation quota in the State in employment and other fields. They also alleged that the Government was not ready to adopt the para 95 of the Apex Court judgment of Mandal report of 1992 under which no category loses its due share including RBA & ALC.
They also alleged that all institutions in the State are working against the State OBCs as the chairman and members mostly do not belong to the OBC castes. Coordination Committee on State OBCs is wasting its time as it has no agenda and all its meetings are aimed at 2014 elections, it added.
The union also accused PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz of making a false propaganda and misleading the OBCs. It also accused the Chief Minister of doing nothing in practical for the betterment of OBCs in the State.
Ram Paul, Kasturi Lal, Surjeet Singh, Surinder Kumar, Master Sain Dass and others also addressed the meetings.
