Omar inaugurates Mini-Secretariat at Kulgam

KULGAM, May 21: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today inaugurated newly constructed Mini-Secretariat-cum-DC Office here constructed at a cost of over Rs. 29.47 crore.
Spread over an area of 96 kanals of land, the main building of the Mini-Secretariat consists of three storeys with plinth area of 30343 sft and built area of 89000 sft. It has three blocks with 193 rooms available for accommodating 29 Government offices.
The District Development Commissioner’s full establishment including ADDC, ADC and ACR will be housed in the Central Block comprising of 41 rooms while as other district offices will be situated in Eastern and Western Blocks.
Expressing satisfaction over the completion of the Mini-Secretariat, the Chief Minister hoped that the better place of functioning would upgrade the work output of the district offices and general public will be facilitated for having various offices at one place.
Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo, Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani, Minister of State for Revenue, Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool, Legislators, Dr. Bashir Ahmad, M. A. Bhat and Abdul Majid were present on the occasion besides District Development Commissioner and other senior officers.
