JAMMU, Feb 12: A delegation of Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars’ Organization (SABLO) today met Nitishwar Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) at Jammu and discussed various issues concerning the Langars’ organization.
The delegation requested the CEO to extend last date for submission of applications for grant of bhandara permission by at least one month i.e. from present February 20 to March 20 as due to COVID-19 most of the members are still struggling to streamline their records.
The CEO was also urged to drop the condition of submission of audited balance sheet for 3 years. The delegation said this demand was raised by the Shrine Board in the year 2009-2010 and on the strong and logical representation of SABLO, the same was dropped.
The delegation members also appealed for revocation of black listing of 4 bhandara organizations viz. Shiv Sewa Sangh (Punjab), Om Shiv Shakti Sewa Sadan (Delhi), Shri Amarnath (B) Trust (Punjab), Shri Amarnath Yatri Sewa Samiti (UP) during Yatra 2019, alleging that they were black listed on the flimsy grounds.
The members of the delegation further opposed SASB’s circular informing all the bhandara organizations that they should communicate with Shrine Board directly and not through any other organization and if any organization does so, Shrine Board will not entertain any such communication and will treated that as null and void. They urged the CEO SASB to withdraw the circular immediately.
The CEO SASB gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured to look into all the issues highlighted by its members.
The delegation was comprised of Rajan Gupta (general secretary of SABLO), Ram Lok Chaudhary (vice president) and Vijay Mehra (secretary).
