DC convenes public grievances camps

RAJOURI, May 21: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, F. C. Bhagat today convened public grievances camps at Nowshera and Sunderbani tehsils to take stock of people’s grievances besides assessing progress on development works.
The DC, highlighting the Government’s policy of extending district administration to door steps of the people, said that such camps are greatly helping the populace of rural and far-off pockets in getting their problems mitigated within shortest possible time.
He emphasized the need of strong co-ordination between the administration and the people for effective implementation of various welfare and development programmes which is pre-requisite for growth and progress of an area.
The DC directed the officers to conduct frequent visits of far-off and hilly areas to ascertain the people’s grievances at their doorsteps for an early redressal. He, however, cautioned the officers against any carelessness and negligence on their part in solving the issues of public importance.
The DC assured the people of Nowshera that the issue of power upgradation in their area will be taken up with the concerned for necessary action. He also appealed the people to extend complete co-operation in smooth execution of various road projects being taken up under PMGSY.
