UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: District Development Commis-sioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla conducted an extensive tour of remote area of block Ghordi of district Udhampur and inspected developmental works being executed under PMGSY, CRF and PHE sector today.
The DDC was accompanied by SDM, Ramnagar Naresh Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, X-En PHE Taj Choudhary,X-En R&B Girdhari Lal and other officers of different departments.
While carrying inspection of Udhampur-Ghordi road, the X-En PWD was directed to expedite the construction work and get it completed at the earliest. The DDC directed the concerned departments to work in coordination and remove all bottlenecks, if any, so that development works can be completed at the earliest.
Dr Singla directed the officers to stay in contact with the PRIs and pay regular visits to remote and far-flung areas to build confidence among people and ensure the quality of developmental works. He instructed the concerned officers to complete all the projects within prescribed time and dedicate to people for early utilization. He further exhorted them to put in their best efforts to achieve the targets within fixed timeline. He further instructed the officers to monitor the pace of work on routine basis and take care of existing public utilities so that public do not suffer at the cost of development. DDC also instructed to complete ongoing water supply schemes.
During the visit, the DDC also interacted with concerned PRIs and listened their demands and assured them that their genuine issues will be sorted out on priority.
