NEW DELHI, May 22: Lead futures prices today gained 0.40 per cent, to Rs 112.95 per kg on rising demand nin spot markets and positive cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in May traded 45 paise, or 0.40 per cent, higher at Rs 112.95 per kg, with a turnover of 580 lots.
The metal for delivery in June also rose by 45 paise, or 0.40 per cent, to trade at Rs 113.40 per kg, in a business turnover of 32 lots.
Analysts said besides strong domestic demand from battery-makers, a firm trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange influenced lead prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
