JAMMU, Feb 14: The police arrested one person along with 25 bottles of illicit liquor in Chenani area of district Udhampur today.
Official sources said that Police party from Chenani, while patrolling near Kali Mata Mandir Chenani, apprehended one suspected person who was trying to hide himself from police party for checking.
During search of said person, 25 bottles (250 ml each) of illicit liquor were recovered from him. He was later identified as Hans Raj, son of Gulab Chand, resident of Nagulta, tehsil Chenani.
The police party arrested the accused person, seized illicit liquor and also registered a case FIR No. 16/2021 U/S 48(a) Excise Act at PS Chenani.
