Free health camp held

JAMMU, May 22: Department of Students Welfare, Jammu University, in collaboration with the JU Health Centre, organized a free health camp on the campus, here today.
During the Camp, the doctors and the para medics conducted health check up like blood pressure, ECG, blood sugar etc. Eye, Heart, Bones and other examination were done by an expert team of Doctors from Government Medical College Jammu along with the other paramedical staff.
Interacting with the doctors and members of the University fraternity on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar said that healthy living stands guarantee against disease and better quality of life.
The camp was inaugurated by  Lida Singh Ishar, who lauded the effort of the organizers saying this will immensely benefit the students, staff and faculty of the University.
During the camp, a large number of students, faculty and staff members sought the consultations of the specialists in various disciplines. Several tests like Basic Investigation (Hb, Blood Sugar, CBC, Blood Grouping), Ultrasound, ECG and as prescribed by the doctors were also conducted free of cost on the occasion. Free medicines were also distributed during the camp.
Dr  Susheel Sharma, HoD Cardiology, Dr  S K  Bali, Prof  & HoD Nephrology,  Dr Arvind Kohli, Sr  Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr  Rajinder Singh, Dr  G S Saini, Dr Kewal Ishar, Gen  Surgeon (Retd.),  Dr  Sameer Mattoo, Sr Consultant Eye, Dr Harinder Kour, Consultant ENT, Dr Sudhir Sabherwal, Neurosurgeon, Dr Mohd Ashraf, Radiologist and Dr Poonam Sethi, Medical Officer, University Health Centre examined the members of the University fraternity during the day long camp.
