CWA meets Jora

JAMMU, May 22: Consumers’ Welfare Association (CWA) met Minister for Urban Development Nawang Rigzin Jora.
During the meeting, CWA pointed out that all the concerned agencies of the Government including CAPD, Legal Metrology, district administration and JMC needed to gear up their efforts to check the unscrupulous traders, illegal and unauthorized thousands of rehri-wallas, who are selling unhygienic, unhealthy and uncleanly cooked food items to the common man openly without any check.
The eastern end of the two parks outside Trikuta Nagar needs immediate facility of public convenience to prevent use of entire park area as toilet and garbage dump.
He directed the Administrator JMC to jointly inspect the site with VC, JDA and CWA and carry out the works which are of immediate necessity.
CWA deputation included Vikram Gour, president, DP Khajuria, SC Sharma, SK Gupta,  BM Kohli, general secretary and Chander Sharma.
