‘Prayas’ launched to register public complaints

KATHUA, May 22 : ‘Prayas’ an effort to facilitate the people of far off areas by taking their complaints telephonically, was launched today at the district headquarter by District Development Commissioner Jitendra K. Singh.
During  one hour session, from 10:00 AM   till 11:00 AM, the DDC, along with the District officers,  attended about 21 calls. The callers from remote and far off areas of Lohai Malhar, Billawar and from within the city limits    lodged their grievances and sought the redressal of the same.
Problems ranging from low voltage, damaged transformers, drinking water supply, shortage of school staff, traffic management, bad roads, Ration quota and its proper distribution etc. were registered.
The DDC on the occasion said that all these complaints will be registered in the public grievance cell and would be further delivered to the concerned officers through E mail for redressal   within one week’s time.
