Diploma Engineers Association holds meet, highlights demands

UDHAMPUR, May 22: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president RS Jasrotia and discussed various issues.
While speaking, RS Jasrotia briefed the members about the position of cadre strength system at different levels from junior engineer to the executive engineer post and also discussed the strategy to achieve short fall.
He informed the members to be ready for the ensuing central body elections, which is going to be held in near future in order to bring broader unity and integrity among diploma engineers fraternity.
VK Trikha, vice president urged the Government and Minister for PHE to redress their demands at the earliest.
He also highlighted various demands including maintaining of 20 per cent cadre strength while making promotions, adjustment of all promoted assistant engineers among available posts within respective departments, promotion to diploma engineers and reorganization of Engineering Department by creating additional posts of CEs, SEs, XEns, AEEs and AEs.
Among others who spoke were Jugal Kishore, general secretary, Yuvraj Singh Slathia, president, PDD, Sunil Sharma, publicity secretary, Beyant Singh, president, R&B, Ashok Abrol, president, district Udhampur, Kuldeep Singh Katoch, president, PHE Udhampur, etc.
