JAMMU, Feb 17: The designated members of central body of J&K Private Schools Association called on Dr Farah Anjum, Additional Commissioner, Provident Fund Jammu and discussed various issues.
The delegation, comprising Ajay Gupta (General Secretary JKPSA), Sanjeev Luthra (Member Central Body) and Ajay Singh(Member Central Body) discussed the issue of transition process from JKEPFO to Central EPFO, which is expected to be completed by March 31, 2021.
The Association condemned the illegal and arbitrary way of lowering the interest rates without the approval of Board of Trustees of JKEPFO for the financial year 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20. Calculation at low rate of interest since 2016 will put all the subscribers to huge loss, said the Members and demanded clear cut and valid notification to quell the fear in this regard.
The members were of the view that if the matter is not resolved before switching from JKEPFO to Central EPFO , the Association will be bound to knock the doors of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir.
