JAMMU, Feb 17: J&K unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has urged upon the Government to postpone the written test of Class IV posts scheduled to be held on February 27 in view of the birthday of Sharomani Sant Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj falling on the same day .
In a statement issued today, Som Raj Majotra, State President BSP said that the birthday of Guru Ravi Dass ji falls on February 27 and the Government has already declared a Gazetted holiday for the day.
“In J&K, this day is celebrated with pomp and show at all Gurdwaras of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj and the youth of this community play a vital role in organizing this function. As the Service Selection Board (SSB) J&K is going to conduct the test for the post of Class IV on February 27, 2021, the youth and their parents shall not be able to participate in the religious congregation,” Majotra explained and appealed to the Chairman SSB to kindly postpone the scheduled written test.
