JAMMU, Feb 18: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) led by its president Munshi Majid Ali and general secretary Sachin Tickoo today met Raja Yakoob, Managing Director (MD) Jammu Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) and raised several issues.
The delegation apprised MD JKSPDC about the strong resentment of the cadre over the orders issued by Executive Director, JKSPDC vide Order No 48/JKPDC/E of 2020-21 dated-09/02/2021 wherein temporary charge of Executive Engineers has been granted to AEEs without referring the matter to Administrative department which is guardian of the overall sanctioned strength.
The members of the delegation told the MD that if there is an exigency then, the seniority list maintained by the JKPDD administrative department should be operated upon to give any charge in JKSPDC and manpower should be deputed from JKPDD administrative department being guardian of the sanctioned strength.
“Further there have been some regularization orders issued in JKSPDC which need to be examined as there are no creations in JKSPDC at the level of Assistant Engineers and above and if at all the career progression of some employees borne on the cadre of JKSPDC is concerned, it would be appropriate to frame recruitment rules and approve sanctioned strength at different levels after due process of the Board to fulfill the promotional aspirations of their cadre,” they added.
The delegation requested the MD that the vacancies at all the levels of Engineering cadre should be referred to administrative department which should depute the employees expeditiously to meet the operational requirements of JKSPDC as had been envisaged at the time of carving of the corporation.
The MD JKSPDC gave patient hearing to all the issues and promised their early redressal.
