JAMMU, Feb 19: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today reviewed the progress of work on construction of Government Medical College Rajouri and Kathua at a video conference meeting with concerned Deputy Commissioners.
The meeting was attended by Managing Director JKPCC, Vikas Kundal; and other concerned officers, while Deputy Commissioners along with senior functionaries of executing agencies of Rajouri and Kathua districts attended the meeting through video conferencing.
Both the Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com about the present status of work on the GMCs, besides, informed about the progress achieved so far in their respective districts and the future work plan.
It was informed in the meeting that the work on main Academic/ Administrative buildings has almost been completed, while the tenders have been floated for furniture and other allied works.
It was further informed that the work is in progress on all the components of the twin projects, including Hostel/ Residential blocks, Gymnasium, approach road and others. The concerned engineers apprised the Divisional Commissioner that all the under execution works would be completed within fixed timelines.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work to complete the projects well before the set timelines.
He also directed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to personally monitor the pace of work and seek progress reports from the executing agencies on a regular basis and submit the same to his office.
