JAMMU, Feb 19: Working Committee of Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market today in its meeting chaired by Rattan Lal Gupta, Federation President nominated Rajesh Bhagotra as Election President to conduct biennial elections of the Federation to elect the President, Sr. Vice President, Jr. Vice President, Secretary General, Secretary and Treasurer for the term 2021-2023.
The Election President will nominate members of his Election Committee including Poll Observers to conduct free, fair, peaceful and transparent elections of the Federation in a couple of days.
Earlier, Federation General Secretary Deepak Gupta, presented a detailed report of works done by his team during their tenure.
He said that Federation met MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh in New Delhi and raised several demands including that of providing suitable land for godowns to the shopkeepers of Ware House-Nehru Market.
Gupta also said that the process in this regard has started and it is expected that the years old demand of shopkeepers will be fulfilled soon.
On COVID-19, he said when the lockdown was imposed, there were lot of problems in the continuation of supply of essential commodities but the Federation in collaboration with the administration issued movement passes which felicitated the supply of essential commodities smoothly, even in the red zone areas.
He also talked about social responsibility under which free medicines, masks, sanitizers were given to workers and employees of the Ware House Nehru Market and free ration was given to the needy.
Sr. Vice President Dheeraj Gupta, Jr. Vice President Munish Mahajan, Secretary Abhimanyu Gupta, Cashier Vishal Gupta, Yashpal Gupta President Retailers Federation, Prithvi Raj Gupta, Former General Secretary Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, Kirti Gupta, President Dal Merchant Association, Ajay Gupta, President Potato Onion Association, Sham Lal Gupta, former Sr. Vice President and Ram Langer, Former General Secretary of Federation along with other members of Working Committee were also present in the meeting.
