Former Minister said that last year with the help of UEED Department this nallah was constructed with the estimated cost of Rs four Crore but during Monsoon it used to overflow under RRL because of blockage due to mulba and rocks. To rid the people of this problem construction has been started with an estimated cost of Rs 38 lakh, he added.
He said that he is very pleased with the dedication and effort of corporator and former chairman that he has been putting in making his Ward No. 12 a Model Ward of Jammu City. He also complimented UEED Department for their efforts and work they did in construction of the nallah which provided relief to the residents of Krishna Nagar as well as families living in RRL quarters and he hoped that this construction will resolve the entire problem of the residents of the Ward.
Former Chairman said that during Monsoon season due to bad condition of the nallah, Mulba and rocks used to block the nallah near RRL causing sewage water to overflow and enter inside the homes of the residents of Ward causing damage to property. But now with the help of UEED and officials of RRL a ditch will be dug at the bed of the nallah before RRL where during Monsoon the mulba and rocks coming from upper areas will fall in the ditch and will not create blockage resulting in the free flow of the sewage water without overflowing and after that ditch will be cleared properly.
He also said that damaged nallah under RRL will also be newly constructed.
