KATHUA, Feb 21: A youth committed suicide by shooting himself to death using his father’s rifle at his residence at Hiranagar.
The deceased was identified as Ajay Sangra (26), son of Ashok Sangra, resident of Ward No. 4, Hiranagar. The incident took place today morning when the youth in a fit of anger took .303 rifle of his father who is VDC member and shot himself.
After listening the sound of fire, family members ran towards the site and found youth lying in a pool of blood.
A Police team from Hiranagar Police Station reached the spot and recovered the rifle. The body of youth was shifted to Hiranagar hospital for postmartum. The police registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
