JAMMU, Feb 22: Congress deceived SC community and used it as vote bank only, said Lal Singh Arya, national president of BJP SC Morcha, who also accused the party of disrespecting Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
“It is only the Modi Government which gave due respect to Baba Saheb and ensured measures to strengthen SC community”, Arya said while addressing Executive Body meeting of BJP Anusuchit Jaati (SC) Morcha which was held under the leadership of its JK UT president, Bharat Bhushan at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Others who addressed the meeting included J&K BJP Seh-Prabhari Ashish Sood, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, J&K BJP general secretary & former MLC, Vibodh Gupta, J&K BJP general secretary & former Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, J&K BJP All Morcha Prabhari, Munish Sharma.
Lal Singh Arya said that every single activist has worked tirelessly to contribute to the party’s victory in recent DDC elections. He said that the Morcha has achieved success in mobilizing people but added that their job is not over yet. He prompted Morcha activists to take the example of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and his unremitting selfless efforts for the development of nation.
He also prompted Morcha leaders to share their experiences of the organizational working, especially while they were allotted field jobs by the party and asked them to keep working continuously for the growth of the organizational base within the society. A number of Morcha State office bearers shared their experiences and also discussed various organizational issues with the top party leadership.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma gave full credit to the SC Morcha in gaining 19 seats out of 23 seats allocated to the SC Morcha. BJP is ever-ready to uplift the living standards of the community members to whom earlier Congress led governments did not provide any relief, he added.
Ashish Sood asked all the Morcha leaders to visit every area to strengthen it on the ground level.
Dr. Manyal presented the political resolution in which the efforts of PM in providing and enhancing the scholarships to SC students was termed a great step.
SC Morcha president Bharat Bhushan complimented the BJP leadership for giving due representation to SC in the organization as well as administrational levels.
Former Minister, Bali Bhagat, former MLAs Dr. Krishan Bhagat, Neelam Langeh, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Surinder Bhagat and other party leaders also addressed the meeting.
Rakesh Sangral conducted the proceedings. Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Gharu Ram.
