Doctor dies of cardiac arrest in Anantnag

Srinagar, Feb 22: A doctor from Srinagar’s Lal Bazar area today died due to a massive cardiac arrest while he was at his clinic in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Health officials in the district said that a doctor Aashiq Hussain who was working as a Medical Officer at SDH Shangus suffered a massive cardiac arrest following which he was immediately rushed for medical help.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital Anantnag where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) expressed its sadness over the sad demise of Dr Aashiq Hussain.
President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik paid rich tributes to the deceased and expressed deep condolence with the bereaved family.
DAK members also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
“It is a great loss to the medical fraternity and his death has resulted in a great void in the field of medicine,” DAK said.
