JAMMU, Feb 23: Bishnah Police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Anil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and Additional SP Headquarters Jammu Raja Adil Hamid laid a check point at Deoli and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AU-1017.
During checking, police team recovered 88 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of two persons riding on the motorcycle and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sulakhan Singh, son of Kulwant Singh of Village Makhanpur Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu and Rameshwar Bahadur, son of Ganesh Bahadur of Nepal, at present Village Makhanpur Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 33/2021 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
