CS reviews development issues of Gujjar, Bakerwal, Pahari speaking people

SRINAGAR, May 24: Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey today reviewed the status of decisions taken in various meetings of the State Advisory Boards for the development of Gujjar, Bakerwal and Pahari speaking people in two separate meetings.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary called for expediting the implementation process on the decisions taken with directions to the Planning, Finance and Social Welfare Departments to resolve remaining pending matters pertaining to these decisions at an earliest.
During the meetings, issues pertaining to the flow of funds, preparation of separate annual plan for the tribals, enhancement of outlay under infrastructure development for filling up of critical gaps and implementations of reservations rules were discussed.
Matters regarding opening and upgradation of schools in Gujjar Bakerwal Pahari basties, provision for mobile schools and mobile medical aid centers for nomad population along migratory routes, establishment of new and upgradation of existing hostels for Gujjar Bakerwal and Pahari boys and girls, scholarships schemes for students etc were also taken up.
Principal Secretary Planning and Development B R Sharma, Administrative Secretaries, Senior State Advisory Board officials and other officers were present in the meetings.
